| A noted left-wing author who teaches at a bastion of so-called progressive education recently delivered a surprising defense of Western civilizationand an attack on prevailing academic attitudes towards it. Unfortunately, Christopher Hitchens said, confidence in the superiority of the West has been eroded in recent decades. Hitchens teaches at the New School in New York City. Hitchens criticized those Americans (on both the Left and the Right) who responded to the September 11 attacks by asking what America had done to deserve thema question belonging to a mindset he called moral suicide. Such relativism, Hitchens said, is the result of... |

Over the years, Hitchens' caustic attention was directed at a broad range of subjects, including Henry Kissinger, Prince Charles, Bob Hope, Michael Moore, the Dalai Lama and Mother Teresa. |

| GREAT BEND - Beth Schneweis can see herself dashing after her young son, Christopher, as he runs off the airplane when they return from Germany this fall. Wednesday morning she was laughing out loud as she described the image that plays often in her mind. The sounds of his mother chuckling caused 5-year-old Christopher, strapped into his specially designed tilt chair, to roll his head toward her and smile. The idea of Christopher, who has cerebral palsy, walking off an airplane in a few months, after having additional stem cells injected into his spine at a clinic in Germany, is... |

At the time of submission, a receipt for these signatures was given to Christopher. We have a copy of this receipt that can be sent to any media source upon request. | I'm back from CPAC and I see Curt and Mike have been busy posting videos of choice main ballroom speeches from CPAC. I will be eternally grateful to them.Let me tell you the most important lesson I learned covering CPAC - Netbooks are terrible for blogging, video editing and photo editing. I found to my great dismay that the best I could do was Twitter and check email with this #$@^$% netbook. That being said I've got loads of exclusive videos, photos and stories to share with you now that I'm back home with access to a real computer. Let's start... |
